Kids Health

Kids are notoriously fussy eaters, and usually have a preference for just those foods that offer the least nutrition. Given the chance, most children will choose highly refined, sugary foods and snacks instead of a good mix of nutritious vegetables, cereals, dairy products and other fresh whole foods that help young bodies to develop, grow, and cope with the demands of their daily lives.

Unfortunately, nutrition is never more important than when we're kids. Growing bodies need plenty of protein, iron and B vitamins to make healthy blood cells, calcium to build strong bones and teeth, and nutrients like vitamin C and zinc to help build new connective tissue. At the same time, children are faced with all the common health concerns that face adults, from poor digestion and stomach upsets to allergies, hayfever, and common bugs like colds and the flu.
